Long ago, somewhere between the Hawaiian islands and the distant shores of Japan, there was a little seal named Lucky. Lucky was a sentimental seal. She held onto things a little longer than most. Memories, objects, little moments that did not seem important to the others at the time somehow stayed with her.
She used to go along the shoreline with her grandma, collecting whatever they found. Not just shells or seaweed, but stories too. Postcards that washed up, photos left behind, little notes from strangers. Lucky would tuck everything into a small satchel she carried everywhere.
And over time, that satchel got really full.
Then her grandparents grew old and eventually passed away, the way things do, quietly, like the tide going out. After that, everything felt different. The world felt a bit too big. The same places did not feel the same anymore.
So Lucky started travelling more. Not really knowing what she was looking for, just trying to understand life a little better. She moved across oceans and seasons, carrying her satchel the whole time, still collecting things, still holding on.
But eventually she realized she could not just keep it all to herself.
So she started sending things out instead; little parcels across the sea filled with artwork, photographs, postcards, letters, and small pieces of wherever she had been. Like she was sharing pieces of memory instead of keeping them locked away.
And that is how the Lucky Phoque Mail Club began <3
